The First Great London Yarn Crawl
Saturday the 21st of September was the first Great London Yarn Crawl!!!! Jen and I travelled up to Mum’s on the Friday night and then the three of us travelled up to Stoke Newington at the crack of dawn on Saturday!! We were on the orange route which meant we had the lovely Knit with Attitude, Prick Your Finger, Loop, and Nest on our plan for the day!! before meeting at the Mulberry bush inn by Waterloo for the after party!! It was all very exciting!!! We had a coffee near the first shop and meeting spot before heading to rendezvous at the meeting point for quarter past ten!!
It was truly a fabulous day and I showed absolutely no restraint in acquiring new yarns!!! Oops!! The break down of purchases will follow in a later post!!! I need to stop stroking them long enough to put them down and photograph! We met some fantastic new people including our wonderful leaders Linda and Andrea, Emily from TinCanKnits (whose book I bought and got signed!) and a wealth on new Ravelry friends now made!!! I took a few photos round the route in each of the shops, but was absolutely exhausted by the end so didn’t get any in the after party!!
