I went Blackberry picking at the customary time and made tonnes of jam, but I also kept several pounds of blackberries to make into my first ever wine!
After much fermenting sieving, racking, stabilizing etc etc I made a very passable beautifully clear Blackberry Wine which I bottled and gave out as some Christmas gifts!!!
Some of the comments….
“Good, we’ll buy some off you if there is any more!”
Then Dad: “nice bouquet!!” “Slightly Sherrified” “Tastes good” (he also recommended I get proper demi johns the the plastic tub ones!! Will apparently help with the sherrifying!!)
Hurrah!!! Must try making more!!
