Cardiff Joust

June 20, 2010

Friday I took my class to the Cardiff Joust!! What a fab day out to Cardiff Castle.  The kids had made their own shields and swords and masks for the occasion and absolutely enjoyed themselves 100% as did the accompanying adults.  It was a scene out of “A Knight’s Tale” and all that was missing was Paul Bettany “trudging” through in the buff!! The lovely Quesselchen was there in full costume helping the children to try on the outfits worn in medieval times.  Boy they were warm felted woolly things, there was a hog roast, a blacksmith, juggling, story telling, sword fighting glore and of course the knights and their fabulous joust!

    full costume? no way.
I was very naughty and running around in my medieval underwear. lol As a decent woman I really should have worn my overdress, but is was just to warm. I also skipped on the wimple…
But it was lovely to see you and your kids! Hope to see you on thursday evening!
