The Diet!

Well guys today I decided to say goodbye to my fat behind!!! and have begun a healthy eating/slimfast kick……  Yes I know we’ll see how long this lasts this time but I am determined!! So far!!!! lol.  I am trying out the slim fast shakes for the next couple of weeks to give me, hopefully a good kick start!!

Today I have tried the chocolate “make your own stuff from powder” for breakkie and survived  (definately not as bad as I remember from last time) and I had the fruits of the forest shake for lunch and that was YUM! like a forest fruit yoghurt drink really.  I have managed to survive not eating biscuits in my classroom today (a VERY hard task let me tell you!!) AND I have managed to munch through 2 apples hurrah!!! and so far I am not fainting from hunger….  All good!!  But I am considering what to have for my 600 calorie evening meal…. but plenty of good healthy choices in my fridge after yesterday’s shopping trip….

My dog is also going to have her little paws walked off and at some point the fitness DVD’s will come out and play and I intend getting a Wii balance board to actually be able to use the Wii as I intended it!!

So my goal…. I want to lose at least 2 stone and tone up a bit by September.  I have picked this date not because of anything special, but because it is the start of the new school year and with my projected class next year I’ll have a good chance of keeping it off as I’ll be running about like a crazed person!!

So readers any helpful tips???

    So those slimfast shakes actually taste nice and you don’t feel hungry?! I’m surprised! Sounds interesting I can tell ya!
    I would say my best tip is to do what you are doing, have no tempting snacks in the house, only good stuff and my top tip is to have lite hot chocolate in your cupboards for those weak moments. I have ovaltine hot choc (you can get sachets to try) and they satisfy my chocolate craving and if you save it till evening, its your bedtime drink 🙂
    Last time I was on a “diet” I didn’t call it a diet, just a “balanced diet” that makes me feel better and not rush to the nearest bakers for a muffin or doughnut (yum, drool!).
    I was tempted to get one today at the shops but I beat my temptation and bought Let’s Knit mag instead! That’s much better for my health 😀

      Hurrah!! good plan re the hot chocs I forgot I did that last time I lost a load of weight! Doing well so far though and you’re right not a sniff of naughty snacks in the house! Thank God after the day I’ve had (got attacked by a pupil!!) I could demolish a paving slab of cadburys!!

    You have made a good start. Personally I would invest in the Vitamix machine as it will help you make fruit and veggie juices as well as other things for your healthy diet. Walking is good, Swimming is good and I agree on getting back into shape. Check into Weight Watchers. They have some good tips. Check out http://www.discoveryhealth.com as well.

      Ahhh haaa that reminds me the smoothie maker is at the back of some dim dark kitchen cupboard good thinking batman!! Did weight watchers last time thinking that may be the next step post slim fast…. They are good especially when you’ve finished at helping maintain shall have to do that bit this time!!! didn’t last time and tho its taken 5 years plus I’ve gradually eaten myself fat again!!
